Each year the Registrar of Companies removes several thousand companies from the Companies Register. However, removal does not always spell the end for a company; if need be they can be restored to the register.

I hope by now you’re all well aware of changes coming to the Companies Office this year. Tim touched upon these changes in one of his posts last year, but to refresh your memory or if you’re new to our blog, we’re developing a new IT platform that will improve the services for all of our registers. These changes will be introduced by the launch of the new Companies Office Register and the Financial Service Providers Register (www.fspr.govt.nz) in mid 2010.
